POSITION OVERVIEW

As an Electrical/Mechanical Service Technician will focus on hands-on electrical & mechanical servicing, repair, and refurbishment of commercial food equipment and related assets. This position is ideal for a skilled technician who excels in electrical diagnostics & wound knowledge & experience with mechanical diagnostics, equipment rebuilds and  repairs. You will play a key role in ensuring our clients’ commercial kitchen and food production equipment operate at peak performance. This role requires a mix of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and strong customer service to deliver high-quality installation, maintenance, and repair solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

βš™ Technical Duties & Service Excellence

  • Conduct installation, maintenance, and repairs on food machinery and facility equipment.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.

  • Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) to minimize breakdown risks.

  • Research and source replacement parts and solutions for repairs.

  • Document all job activities using company software and mobile apps.

  • Investigate mechanical failures and root causes to recommend and implement robust solutions.

  • Support electrical fault identification if dual-trade qualified (optional).

  • Recommend component upgrades or part replacements to improve equipment longevity.

  • Identify and report any Health & Safety risks, including machinery guarding concerns.

  • Work collaboratively with the FMS team and management to ensure service efficiency.

  • Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians.

  • Participate in on-call rotations as required.

  • If assigned a company vehicle, ensure it is maintained in a clean, safe, and roadworthy condition.

  • Notify management of WOFs, registration renewals, and road user charges to ensure compliance.

  • Properly utilize fuel cards, which also cover vehicle wash expenses.

  • Support fabrication/installation projects as & when needed.

  • Undertake other responsibilities as delegated by management.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

Technical Skills & Experience:

βœ” Trade qualification in electrical, mechanical, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

βœ” Experience servicing, repairing, and maintaining commercial food machinery and facility equipment.

βœ” Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

βœ” Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

βœ” Familiarity with PPM programs and 24/7 emergency breakdown services.

βœ” Basic welding and mechanical modifications is a plus.

βœ” Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for electrical and mechanical issues.

βœ” Familiarity with PPM programmes and 24/7 emergency breakdown services.

βœ” Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

βœ” Basic knowledge of automation, PLCs, variable speed drives (VSDs), and motor controls.

WORK SCHEDULE

⏰ Standard Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (40 hours/week).
